About the Visitor Experience Development Grant Programme
The Cayman Islands is committed to maintaining its status as a world-class tourist destination by constantly evolving and diversifying its offerings. The Visitor Experience Development Grant Programme (VEDGP) is designed to support emerging tourism entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary resources to create unique and authentic experiences that resonate with modern travellers.
Whether it's eco-tourism, cultural heritage, wellness retreats, or luxury experiences, this grant programme seeks to elevate the Cayman Islands' tourism industry by fostering innovation, creativity, sustainability, and economic growth.
Our Mission and Objectives
The VEDGP aims to:
- Identify and Nurture Local Talent: Support emerging Caymanian entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
- Accelerate Growth: Provide access to funding, enabling rapid development and market entry.
- Promote Market-Aligned Experiences: Encourage the creation of authentic tourism experiences that cater to niche markets.
- Foster Innovation: Incentivize the design of new, unique tourism experiences, including those tailored for luxury, family, and accessible tourism.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the VEDGP, applicants must:
- Be a 100% Caymanian-owned and staffed businesses.
- Offer new and innovative experiences aimed at international visitors.
- Become compliant with all relevant licensing and statutory requirements.
- Submit only one application per owner.
- Provide supporting documents such as business concept, quotes, or invoices.
Note: Applications must be received by the deadline and adhere to the provided format. Only the highest scoring applications will be selected for funding.
Grant Funding Details
- Funding: up to CI$50,000 per grant
- Disbursement: Funds will be disbursed in instalments, over three months.
- Conditions: Funding is contingent upon the provision of evidence that the funds are being used as intended.
- Monitoring: Successful applicants must participate in business orientation workshops and comply with all reporting requirements.

To be eligible for the VEDGP, applicants must:
- Prepare Your Application: Complete the online application form and attach supporting documents.
- Submit Your Application: Applications must be submitted online using the provided online form by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be reviewed.
- Evaluation: Your application will be scored by a panel of experts, and qualifying applicants will be invited for an interview and assessment.
- Final Selection: The highest scoring applicants will receive grant funding based on the approved budget.
