The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) was established in 1974 and falls under the Ministry of Tourism and Trade Development (MOTTD) mandate. MOTTD provides strategic guidance and direction to the tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as air and sea ports, through the development of policies and legislation that promote the sustainable growth and development of the Cayman Islands tourism industry. CIDOT’s mission is to lead the tourism industry responsibly and position the Cayman Islands as the warm weather destination of choice through targeted initiatives that benefit all stakeholders.
