The Hon. Minister of Tourism and Transport, Mr. Kenneth Bryan, and Parliament Secretary (PS) Heather Bodden met with participants of the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism’s summer camp, “Who Ya Fah?” on 23 July 2021 at Heroes Square in George Town. Camp “Who Ya Fah?” is a complimentary 2-day summer camp for students ages 12-16 organized by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism—the first summer camp hosted by CIDOT for this age group.

Sessions are taking place in July and August in both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. During this camp, participants will learn about the culture and heritage of the Cayman Islands through group activities and cultural games as well as an island tour.

The Hon. Minister and PS Bodden spoke with the students about the significance of Heroes Square and the importance of the Cayman Islands’ culture and heritage. Heroes Square was the students first stop on their island tour, which will take them to see some of Cayman’s landmarks, such as the National Museum, Pedro St. James, and Wreck of the Ten Sail.

Camp “Who Ya Fah?” facilitator and Department of Tourism employee, Janet Holness, talks to camp participants about Heroes Square.
