As part of the 2018 Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon weekend, the Fit Foodie participants will join fellow runners experiencing the destination’s unrivalled warmth and Caymankind hospitality both on-and-off the course, with a welcoming cocktail reception on Grand Cayman’s award-winning Seven Mile Beach as well as a Pasta Carb Loading Party to nourish and fuel the runners before they hit the track.
On the day of the race, the eight members of the Fit Foodie Marathon Team will divide into two four-person relay groups, in which each member will run approximately 6.5 miles. While the race is sure to be intense, participants will enjoy the scenic waterfront area of George Town as crowds of visiting families, friends and locals cheer them on before crossing the finish line. After the marathon, the Fit Foodies will celebrate with a rum distillery tour in the evening and one last Cayman sunset before heading back to their respective U.S. hometowns.
