The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) has teamed up with Funway Holidays to offer agents the chance to win a place on a Cayman Islands fam trip hosted by the tour operator later on this year.
The competition celebrates a new trade partnership with Funway Holidays providing a direct channel for travel agents to sell the Cayman Islands as a luxury holiday destination.
In addition to the partnership with Funway Holidays, the CIDOT has also created a new online training module in conjunction with Online Travel Training (OTT), providing travel agents with the tools they need to better sell the destination and become Cayman Islands experts. Agents successfully completing this one-module course will automatically be entered into a separate prize draw to win a place on the same fam trip.
Regional Director CIDOT Europe, Don McDougall said: “Both the partnership with Funway Holidays and the new Online Travel Training module opens up new opportunities for the Cayman Islands and is part of a new strategy to further engage with the trade.
Our aim is to ensure that travel agents and tour operators have the tools they need to sell this beautiful destination to their customers, and there’s no more an immersive experience than visiting the islands in person!”
Nick Talbot, Marketing Director at Funway Holidays added: “We’re thrilled to be working with The Cayman Islands on an extensive sales & marketing campaign. The destination is hugely important for us and we look forward to mutually growing our sales and welcoming agents on the upcoming FAM trip”
The lucky winners will experience some of the Cayman Islands’ most spectacular sights, including a trip to Stingray City sandbar to swim with wild southern Atlantic stingrays and the chance to stroll along the world-famous Seven Mile Beach.
To win a place on the fam trip (hosted by Funway Holidays) and be entered into a prize draw, agents must have made a Cayman Islands booking through Funway Holidays between 1 July and 31 August 2017. The booking must include at least five nights’ accommodation.
