Contests and Competitions

Students are encouraged to participate in the various competitions and contests available here. This stimulates creativity amongst young Caymanians, presenting them with opportunities to further explore and learn about Cayman's tourism product.

There are many Tourism Education programmes which take the form of various contests and competitions. We encourage all teachers to incorporate these activities into their school calendar.

Florida Caribbean Cruise Association Children’s Essay Competition

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Annual Essay Competition invites students from across the Caribbean and Latin America to participate in a unique opportunity. This competition encourages young minds to engage critically with pressing tourism topics and express their thoughts through well-crafted essays. By educating younger generations on the significance of environmental protection, we can cultivate a future generation of environmentally conscious leaders and citizens. This initiative serves as a catalyst for students to think critically about the world around them, understand the impact of human activities on the environment and explore innovative solutions to tourism challenges.

Participants are given a platform to showcase their understanding of tourism stewardship, environmental conservation and the roles in protecting our planet. The competition not only recognizes and rewards individual students for their insightful contributions but also extends these benefits to their schools. Winning students and their educational institutions receive awards that support further educational endeavors, thereby contributing to a more enriched learning environment.
