Epicures feel right at home in the Cayman Islands as culinary curiosity is essential to the Caymanian experience. Frequently heralded as the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean, the destination features fine dining in combination with sun, sea and tropical landscapes. Boasting more than 200 restaurants and culinary influences from all over the globe, the Cayman Islands provides an endless array of options to suite any palate. Abundant in natural resources, the Cayman Islands is also ahead of the curve in the Caribbean’s farm-to-table movement, boasting a diverse home-grown food scene at various restaurants committed to dishing up only locally-sourced fare.

Committed to maintaining its distinction as the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism continues to invest in leveraging the destination's natural strength in this area. Through a strategic and integrated marketing programme, CIDOT pushes the destination’s culinary brand messaging and imagery. Public relations, print, TV, digital advertising, and partnerships with select culinary shows and events are a just few tactics the organization has employed to achieve this goal.

CIDOT’s key supported on-island culinary events include:
